Harrasment

OOC harassment is NOT tolerated on Shadows of Isildur; Laketown.

If you are being harassed in-character, please see your in-character authorities to report it as part of the roleplay experience. If the in-character harassment is a continuation or evolved situation from out-of-character harassment, or vice versa, it is unacceptable. Please report any harassment of this nature to Staff via Help Support.

There are some very specific behaviors that fall under the harassment policy no matter how polite the approach used when done, such as:
- Do not use the Guest Lounge, OOC communication, Helpline, or
Hobbitmail to ask a Player for their AIM, Email, Forum Name, Account Name, or who they play.
- Revealing who another Player plays whether it is in-game, in the Guest Lounge, on the Forums, on any other Forums, in AIM, in Email, and any other platform.
- Do not ask for OOC information about roleplay, be it for helpful tips on your style, your emotes, etc. or if it is for information on any other character, scene, plot, etc. For reviews of your roleplayability please seek assistance from Staff via Help Support.
- Do not share information of another Player's roleplayability in an OOC manner, be it their style, ability, lack thereof, plots, enemies, etc. It is extreme and poor taste to gossip and ruin the immersion of others.
- Any attempt to pressure, persuade, blackmail, threaten, or otherwise manipulate another Player to share IC or OOC information or to do or refrain from doing something in-game.
- Any attempt to pressure new Players to act, think, or feel a certain way or to RP the way you want. Please leave this correction to Staff.
- Failure to comply with the request to stop OOC behavior such as continuing to send Hobbitmails, Forum PMs, etc. to a Player.
- Targeting a character or their Player with IC or OOC harassment or any other negative behavior after they have killed your character.
- Targeting a character or their Player with IC or OOC harassment or any other negative behavior for not mudsexing your character.
- Targeting a character or their Player with IC or OOC harassment or any other negative behavior for reporting you are harassing them.
- Targeting a character or their Player with IC or OOC harassment or any other negative behavior based on their Player's race, religion, place of birth, sexual orientation, political opinion, or gender.

Please note that this game has unforgivable offenses that will get you immediately banned such as:
- Threatening a Player with OOC information such as knowing where they live, work, or social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
- Threatening to physically or sexually harm another Player.
- Sending unwanted sexual or violent imagery, videos, links, music, written material such as poetry, prose, etc. Please ask the other Player's consent to see such material first. Do not send such on our game port whether in OOC channel, Guest Lounge, Forums, Forum PMs, or Hobbitmail.
- Using derogatory language towards Players or Staff through OOC means such as the OOC channel, Petition, Guest Lounge, Forums, Forum PMs, Hobbitmail, and Support Tickets. Such language includes,
but is not limited to, threats, violence, foul langugage, racial slurs, slurs based on the person's sexual orientation, religion, gender, etc.

If you feel you are being harassed out-of-character, due to an out-of character issue/situation, or due to discrimination based on you, as a Player, please bring it to the attention of Staff through Help Support. Do not engage with the other Player(s), simply remove yourself for your own mental and emotional safety, and submit any and all logs, documentation, material, etc. to Staff using Help Support.
